That is the base definition of Transhuman, though to me Transhumanism is so much more. It is not a way of life in itself, but a thought form, it is looking towards the future and trying to imagine what humanity will be one day, how we will advance.

If you have read much on this site you will see I am also a Heathen, I follow the old ways of my ancestors before the monotheist faiths invaded Europe. In that sense transhumanist thought does not conflict, it is a clear project of moving forward as a people.

I will distance myself from most transhuman organizations and followers at our present time. We do not hold the same values and beliefs on other things that will make their, and my, view of transhumanism.

I will outline some of my major thoughts, hopes, a outlook on the future...

• Immortality - I believe we can achieve immortality, and multiple ways, through uploading out minds into machines, genetic engineering, replacing the brian with cybernetics

• Technology - I believe we can transform society into a more far reaching technological society, yes I am concerned with the encroachment of my privacy, and I will be vigilant to a great extent to protect my liberty and privacy, but a society of information is a two edged sword.

• Space - We need the stars, we need expansion, we need to expand and explore. Star Trek is one of my favorite series, I grew up in the 80s and 90s and the ideas expressed by Gene Roddenberry and many others have gave me high hopes for humanity's possibilities among the starts. The same could be said for Elon Musk statements about why we must go to mars. I hope for hyper drives and star gates.

• Robotics - To augment our biological bodies and to streamline our lives. I am all for it.

• Artificial Intelligence - A.I. is the next level of sentients, it will happen, I believe it needs to happen in a semi-controlled environment. I do not believe it is the end of civilization and terminators will take over the world. I look forward to exploring the world with artificial sentient beings. I also believe if we create these individuals and they are sentient they should have the same rights as all sentient beings. "I think, therefore I am"

• Utopian States - I believe in technological utopias, and write about them in my science fiction writings. A truly transhuman society is one where technology is at its prime, humans have control of their environment and biology. The issues of present society, racial, gender, religion, economics, will not be issues in the future. A society that has control of its genetics and information decides these issues from the past that we had no control over.
